A New Digital Ministry at St Mark

We are pleased to present a new version of the St Mark website! After conversation about our congregation’s mission and the purpose of our website and online presence, we decided it was time for a major update. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new.

A totally new layout

The first change was the layout. A lot of information has moved, but we’re really excited about it. Everything we do – from the Pasta Dinner to the backpack drive – is categorized by our mission statement: worship, nurture, and serve. This was made possible by a blog-style layout. Take a look around the new design!

Sharing with others

We wanted the website to be outreach-focused, so we’ve made it easier than ever to share your faith with others. Every piece of information on the website – whether an invitation to Pub Theology or Pastor’s latest sermon – has a few buttons at the bottom to instantly share that post. Want to invite others to game night or share Sunday’s sermon with your friends? Simply visit the post and click the icon to share!

Everyone has a voice

We also wanted you to be able to connect with others in conversation through the website. Because the website is designed as a blog, most posts have a spot for comments and discussion! Sermons are no longer one-way messages – they’re opportunities to join the conversation!

Everyone gets lost sometimes

We know that a new website design can be frustrating. (“Where’s that page?! I knew exactly how to get there last time!”) To make this easier, a search bar at the top of every page makes it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for!

The new website is now live, but we will be editing and adding more content as time goes on. In fact, frequent updates about what’s going on at St Mark and in the Hamilton community is at the heart of the new design. So check back often to see what’s new! We hope that you like the new website as much as we liked designing it!
